St Patrick’s College is a College of Education, primarily specialising at undergraduate level in preparing students to teach in post-primary schools. Interviews will shortly be held for the following post:
HEAD LIBRARIAN
The College Library always seeks to provide an outstanding service to staff and students of St. Patrick’s College and to respond creatively to changes in the world of learning.
The successful applicant will be responsible for the day-to-day management and effective running of the College Library. He/she will have excellent management, interpersonal and organisational skills and will have the ability to work on his/her own as well as as part of a team. He/she will be committed to providing a quality library service. The Head Librarian will be expected to contribute actively and positively to the further development of the Library. As Head Librarian, you will also be an ex-officio member of the College’s Academic Council.
Applicants must be graduates and hold a recognised qualification in Library and Information Studies. Significant experience is required and a good working knowledge of Irish is desirable.
The appointment will be for an initial period of three years and the salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
