Facilities at St Patrick’s College

IT Facilities
Each student at St. Patrick’s College has a PC account with access to an excellent computer network, containing lecture notes and other academic material. All academic programmes at St. Patrick’s College make extended use of the College’s computer facilities. An “introduction to the use of computers” class is offered to students.

Library
St. Patrick’s College has around 25,000 volumes in its library. Most of the books relate to the diverse areas of theology/philosophy/religious studies. The books are housed in the Student’s Library and the Old Library. The old library focuses entirely on research texts and contains valuable resources for higher research.

The College has a wide selection of journals, some of them quite rare. At present the journal stock comprises 434 journal titles.  The College also subscribes to an online database for Religion and Philosophy related journals (EBSCO).

Sporting Facilities
A state-of-the-art Gaelic pitch has recently been completed at St. Patrick’s College. Facilities also include tennis, basketball courts and a handball alley.

Refectory
The refectory has been recently refurbished. Tea, coffee and snacks are available to students from 9am to 7pm.

Study Rooms
A number of study rooms are reserved in the college for students.

Recreational Facilities
Students can relax in a purpose built recreational room with. Vending machines provide an extensive range of confectionary and drinks.

Class Halls
Each class hall is fitted with the most up to date technology.

Hiring of Conference Facilities

• Rent of Conference Room - €40 per hour (approximately 50 people). Conference rooms are fully equipped with PowerPoint facilities.
• Main conference Theatre to accommodate up to 225 people - €250 from 10am to 5pm.
• 4 course meal - €25 per person.
• Tea/coffee & biscuits - €2.50 per person
• Parking facilities for up to 250 people – complimentary.

These prices are effective from 1st August 2009.
