New Course -  B.A (Honours) in Education, Irish and Religious Studies

The following new programme will commence in September 2009: B.A (Honours) in Education, Irish and Religious Studies

This is a four year teaching degree programme which qualifies you to teach Religious Studies and Irish to Honours Leaving Certificate level in the post primary sector.  It means that you will not require an additional Higher Diploma in Education qualification as this element is built into the degree over the four years.

This programme has been accredited by HETAC (Higher Education and Training and Awards Council) as a level 8 programme. It is also recognised by the Teaching Council of Ireland.

Entry Requirements

Leaving Certificate with 2 HC3’s one of which must be Irish and 4 passes two of which must be English and Mathematics.
